The ship connects Dutch, Finnish, and Baltic ports through its BBX Service line.<\/p>\n\n<p>The container ship Essence docked at Muuga harbour for the first time on February 2nd, and thereafter, the BBX (Baltic Bridge Express) Service will visit Estonia twice a month, following the route Rotterdam \u2013 Klaipeda \u2013 Riga \u2013 Muuga \u2013 Kotka \u2013 Rotterdam.<\/p>\n\n<p>According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/margus-vihman-99064511a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Margus Vihman<\/a>, a member of the board and the commercial director of the Port of Tallinn, the addition of this new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ts.ee\/en\/regular-cargo-lines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regular line<\/a>\u00a0strengthens Muuga harbour\u2019s role in the Baltic Sea port network and creates new opportunities for Estonian businesses, as well as additional revenue from port fees for the Port of Tallinn.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAdditional connections to our nearby neighbors\u2019 ports as well as to Europe\u2019s largest commercial gateway, Rotterdam, expand business opportunities for both our exporters and importers,\u201d noted Margus Vihman.<\/p>\n\n<p>Riia Sillave, CEO of HHLA TK Estonia, also welcomed the addition of the BBX Service to Muuga. \u201cThe addition of ONE\u2019s ship to the regular line at our Muuga terminal is a sign that Estonia\u2019s trade volume has the potential to grow,\u201d said Riia Sillave.<\/p>\n\n<p>The ONE container ship Essence has a capacity of 1,436 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) of sea containers. The vessel is 168 meters long, with a gross tonnage of 17,638. The ship flies the Dutch flag.<\/p>\n\n<p>Ocean Network Express is a Japanese container carrier headquartered in Singapore. The company operates more than 240 vessels, serving over 165 shipping routes in 120 countries.
