The fifth cybersecurity conference of the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) and the European Cybersecurity Agency (ENISA) will take place in Tallinn on 1-2 December, bringing together top European experts and government officials. The conference is co-organised by Estonian Railways.
Estonian Railways is the official supporter and host of this year’s event, bringing the international rail and cybersecurity community to Tallinn. This year, the conference will be held for the first time outside of Lille, Valenciennes or Athens.
The keynote of the opening day of the conference is a strong and diverse group of participants, confirming that cybersecurity has become a central topic in ensuring safe, modern and resilient railway operations in Europe.
The conference was opened by Estonian Minister of Infrastructure Kuldar Leis, emphasizing the importance of protecting the vital railway infrastructure. Kaido Zimmermann, Chairman of the Board of Estonian Railways, also gave welcoming remarks.
During the two days, discussions will include:
- the implementation of CRA in practice,
- company experiences and cyber maturity,
- cross-sector cooperation and development of standards,
- the need to enhance employee awareness and training,
- cyber requirements for safety-critical systems.
